El Monte Police Department Partners with B.R.I.D.G.E.S for the Safety of B.R.I.D.G.E.S. Clients and El Monte’s Community Residents
B.R.I.D.G.E.S. would like to recognize and thank the El Monte Police Department for their excellent community service, generous donation to B.R.I.D.G.E.S. for a wrought iron fence to help secure the perimeter of B.R.I.D.G.E.S. El Monte Residential Programs and for their presentation to staff and clients.
Teaming with El Monte Police Department to ensure the safety of our clients/residents brought about B.R.I.D.G.E.S. decision to fence the front perimeter of the property. B.R.I.D.G.E.S. would like to especially thank Lieutenant M. Penny and Detective R. Cobian for their extreme responsiveness and support of BRIDGES’ community effort to maintain the safety of clients who reside in the B.R.I.D.G.E.S. community.
B.R.I.D.G.E.S. Executive and Management team first met with Lieutenant Penny and Detective Cobian in June 2007, asking for assistance in educating staff and clients regarding community safety and awareness. Lt. Penny and Detective Cobian visited B.R.I.D.G.E.S. presenting community safety and awareness information to staff and clients.
Lieutenant Penny maintained contact with the Director of Programs and Services, Kimberly Rhodes, notifying her of the GREAT News…. The wrought iron fence earmarked by Lt. Penny was approved as a donation to B.R.I.D.G.E.S. B.R.I.D.G.E.S. picked up the fence in January 2008 and is ready to install.
