Wellness and Recovery Service is located in El Monte with the Transitional Residential Treatment Programs. B.R.I.D.G.E.S. Wellness and Recovery services are designed to augment mental health and substance abuse treatment provided in the residential setting and support clients in transitioning to living independently The goal is to integrate physical and mental health, vocational and employment preparedness, housing support services and aftercare support into B.R.I.D.G.E.S. system of care in order to promote a holistic approach to self-discovery and a greater sense of self sufficiency. Through improving life skills, self-advocacy, health and well-being, and increased educational and employment options, clients are empowered to assume personal responsibility for their own self-care and journeys of recovery and achieve successful community integration. Case Management Case Management provides assistance with linkage and referral to needed medical, educational, social, prevocational, vocational rehabilitative, and/or other needed community services for clients. These services provide for the continuity of care within the mental health system and related social service systems. Services include:
Mental Health Services Mental Health Services incorporates interventions designed to provide the maximum reduction of mental disability and restoration or maintenance of functioning to enhance self-sufficiency. Further case management and mental health services include health education, HIV/AIDs and STD education, Healthy Eating/Nutrition, physical exercise and planned recreational activities, both on and off-site. Recreational Services Recreational Services provide therapeutic and healthy recreation and leisure time activity and intervention with the intent to affect, social skill development (including social interaction skills), cognitive development, communication behavior, enhancement recreation skills repertoire, and support lifestyle change. As recreation has been found to improve intellectual, emotional, and physical aspects of health in individuals with mental illnesses or disabilities B.R.I.D.G.E.S. strives to ensure recreation is available, both staff led and self directed. Opportunities include an array of activities such as physical, creative, and community activities to support their sober lifestyle. Project Independence
